Everest Basecamp

Everest Basecamp

15 Days

TOUGH

Trek to Everest Base Camp (5450m). This trek typically involves a minimum of 2 weeks. However, it's best to allow longer to give you a couple of days for acclimatization and some time to relax and explore Kathmandu.  The start involves a flight into Lukla airstrip (2,850m), possibly one of the most harrowing flights you may ever take..  Nonetheless it is a beautiful walk and you get to see the highest mountain in the world (8,850m). On route, you pass the striking Ama Dablam (6,800m), photographed opposite. You will stay in tea house accommodation and have your clothes and equipment carried by porters.  It's a challenging trek and depending on your fitness you could include the high pass of Kongma La (5,540m) and the Kalapatthar peak (5,650m), which provides great views of Everest.
