An unforgettable trek for many wonderful reasons. We walked to the Everest base camp via the high pass of Kongma La 5550m. Having acclimatised the trek up to Everest Basecamp was relatively straightforward - although the cold at the final tea house of Gorak Shep was miserable. With the cold and a few illnesses gradually taking their toll we decided against the third pass, taking a more circuitous route back to Lukla airstrip.
